Repair and Maintenance for Manufacturing from NavVis now available on SAP® Store

Learn how NavVis and SAP enable asset data integration for factory repair and maintenance.

Munich, Germany – November 9, 2023: NavVis, a global leader in advanced technologies for reality capture and digital factories, announced that its solution for global manufacturing companies is now available on the SAP® Store. Integrating NavVis’s mobile mapping systems and its market-leading NavVis IVION Enterprise spatial data platform with SAP Business Network, the solution improves factory maintenance and asset management with large-scale, spatial digital twins, reducing costly planning errors and travel costs, as well as increasing first-time fix rates.

This custom solution particularly focuses on manufacturing. NavVis technology is used to quickly generate photorealistic and highly accurate 3D digital twin data for very large environments, such as factories spanning hundreds of thousands or millions of square meters. The solution allows manufacturers to populate NavVis IVION’s visual and spatial interface with asset information in SAP for up-to-date information regarding their assets or work orders from all sites across the world.

Ideal for maintenance and asset management use cases, users can take their digital twin in their pocket to the shop floor with the corresponding app for mobile devices, NavVis IVION Go. Groundbreaking visual positioning technology allows users to precisely position themselves in very large factory environments or navigate to an asset by just taking a photograph. Edits to points of interest can be made on NavVis IVION Go from the shop floor as they happen, so users can always keep their assets up to date.

With global manufacturing companies like Volkswagen, Siemens, Daimler, and BMW among its 400+ global customers, NavVis has a proven track record of bringing transparency into manufacturing. By using NavVis technology to create and manage reliable, detailed visualizations of their global factories and production assets, professionals in global supply chain, engineering, and operations can make decisions with confidence.

“Our collaboration with SAP forms a bridge that transcends boundaries, bringing manufacturers closer to their assets. With NavVis IVION seamlessly integrated with SAP Business Network, we're not just closing the distance, but also opening new horizons for decision-makers, offering them access to asset data and insights in the 3D spatial context of the factory," says Felix Reinshagen, CEO and Co-founder at NavVis.

After participating in the energy and natural resources industry program at SAP.iO Foundry Singapore, NavVis became a partner in the SAP PartnerEdge® program. The SAP PartnerEdge program provides the enablement tools, benefits and support to facilitate building high-quality, disruptive applications focused on specific business needs – quickly and cost-effectively.
